Corporate Volunteers
CORPORATE VOLUNTEER TEAMS have for several years now been helping out at the Foodbank NSW Distribution Centre which services over 420 member Charities who provide food assistance and look after people in NSW.
With increasing awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility, it is evident that here lies a valuable source of VOLUNTEER HELP which is the lifeblood of the Foodbank operation.
Currently Foodbank NSW has over 30 companies showing momentum to their Corporate Social Responsibility and commitment with teams of their staff VOLUNTEERING a few days each year at Foodbank NSW.
Last year Foodbank NSW distributed 3 million kilos of food to NSW Charities which assisted in feeding over 50,000 familes every week. Christmas Hamper packing program was also a success with the wonderful support of the many companies who continue to provide CORPORATE VOLUNTEER TEAMS.
Foodbank NSW charity food distribution work would not be as successful if not for the help from Corporate Volunteering teams.

The Foodbank NSW warehouse operates under OH&S and Food Safety rules and is covered by Public Liability Insurance.
Opportunities to assist in Warehouse duties include:
- Sorting of mixed food and grocery items
- Packing of Christmas Hampers
- Packing of Country Charity Orders
- Packing of Drought and Emergency Relief Hampers
- Assist in stocking shelves
