Corporate Profile
Foodbank NSW is a not-for-profit organisation which collects and distributes centrally, salvaged and donated food and grocery products from manufacturers and retailers to over 450 member charitable welfare agencies in NSW providing food and other community welfare support services for people in need.
Foodbank operates with 8 staff and a volunteer workforce of up to 30 people without whom this effective and vital humanitarian food distribution service could not work at such a minimal cost.
Many business organisations contribute to Foodbank with pro bono services and support to further minimise operational costs.
Generous individual donors also provide financial support or contribute toward specific operational or infrastructure needs such as refrigeration.
