With increasing awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate volunteer teams have been helping fighting hunger and feed hope for many years at the Foodbank NSW & ACT Distribution Centre, which provides food to over 560 food relief charities and school breakfasts programs in NSW & ACT.
Your volunteering day will be a great team building opportunity while also packing and sorting food to provide 29,500 meals a day to families and children in crisis across NSW & ACT. Foodbank NSW & ACT warehouse operates under OH&S and Food safety rules and is covered by Public Liability Insurance. Opportunities to assist in our Distribution Centre include:
- Sorting of mixed food, grocery items and fresh produce
- Packing of Emergency Packs
- Packing of Country Charity Food Orders
- Assist in stocking shelves
