Imagine waking up on Christmas morning… knowing you can’t provide a Christmas meal for your family.

While most Australians are unwrapping presents and enjoying a special day together, some are facing a Christmas with nothing at all.

Christmas is a time of joy for most families but when you have no food, you are more likely to feel the opposite: without hope, love or care.

Sadly, 2.2 million Aussies go hungry with nearly half being children and those doing it tough are left in a vulnerable position—alone and without help.

Jenny is a single mum who works part-time. Once her son Tim is a little older Jenny will pursue a full-time job, but for now she needs to be around to care for him, so they survive on a part-time salary.

Last year Jenny and Tim found Christmas a real struggle because hunger hurts more during the holidays. While everyone around them enjoyed a delicious meal with their families, they struggled to find the basics.

But Foodbank was able provide food relief to Jenny and Tim. Jenny says…

Foodbank allowed me to have a Christmas meal with my family, with all the Christmas foods that everyone else has. Thank you for bringing back the festive spirit through that meal!

Because of our key staples supply partners, every $1 you donate provides $7 worth of food. That means your gift of $100 will provide $700 worth of food for struggling families this festive season!

If you’d like to help Aussies in need this Christmas, please give generously. Your tax deductible gift before the 22nd December will help more families in need enjoy Christmas with smiles on their faces and full stomachs.

Please donate today.
