Over the past two weekends I have had the privilege of packing food and personal care hampers with hundreds of volunteers, to provide to people in drought-stricken farming communities across NSW.
Because kind people like you responded to our call for help, we have been able to raise enough money and food donations for our goal of 10,000 hampers!
When I was recently in Dubbo, I was particularly struck by the gratitude of the people who were receiving food relief. Many of whom have never had to ask for assistance before.
With your help, we will continue to be there for them because we know that it will be a long time before the farming community has recovered from a drought of this scale.
We are a lucky country in Australia, but what makes us truly lucky is knowing that there are caring people like you, who are willing to help others in their time of need.
Thank you for helping our farming communities get back on their feet.
