It’s estimated that in the next 12 months 526,000 people will run out of food and rely on food relief assistance as provided by Foodbank NSW & ACT for their next meal. There are 2 ways you can help reverse the poverty cycle and donate food to Foodbank:
We accept food donations (which are fit for consumption) from growers, manufacturers, shopping centres and local businesses. As Foodbank caters for a wide range of welfare agency needs, we also accept personal products (e.g. shampoo, soap, toothpaste) and household products (e.g. laundry detergent and cleaning products). In fact we welcome any product you find in your average kitchen, bathroom or laundry. You can donate:
- excess stock
- products near the end of their shelf-life
- products with incorrect labeling, damaged packaging or deleted lines
- product that is out of specification
- or you can dedicate a proportion of your output to Foodbank NSW & ACT.
If you think you can help donate food, please complete the Donate Food Form.
We accept and distribute non-perishable food and grocery donations from the public collected via food drives. Food drives are a great way for individuals, schools, clubs, organisations and companies to help supply the non-perishable items that are always needed by Foodbank. You can donate:
- Tins and canned foods
- Packaged foods
- Long life milk and other products
- Baby food
- Personal products
- Household products
